We finally have enough members to get this thing started!
To give credit where credit is due:
--> Maplestar, Waterspray, Starfall and Emzie were the first admin for their respective Clans.
--> Scarredstar, Nightstreak, Kindlepaw, Littlepaw, Goldenface, Dappledmoon, Chameleonfur, Blackstar, Waterspray, Ghostwhisper, Maplestar, Shadecloud, Legendpaw, Greengaze, and Winterstar were our first 15 accepted characters.
--> Myself, Ghosty, Snowzie, Maplestar, Cloudedpaw, Icestar, Starfall, Stormrunner, Waterspray and Emzie are our ten active members.
Congrats on this accomplishment, guys! =) But remember -- we gotta keep advertising, keep us growing.

Now that we've met our member goal, we need to start with a bang.
What would you guys say to a noon-to-midnight holiday/kickoff party sometime over break? We could try and keep as many members on as possible for as long as the party lasted; we could start the roleplaying with a bang...how about some contests? Not sure what the contests could be, or prizes -- but it's something to think about. It could be a big get-to-know-you, too, because I'm sure there's a number of members who've never met with all the slowness we've been having trying to get more people to join.
So get on the forum and let me know what you think! There'll be a thread up for it in announcements -- here lionslore.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=announcements&action=display&thread=210 -- I'd prefer it if you replied there, so everyone can see your thoughts. =) Also, vote on the poll for a good day to get this thing started.

So what do you guys think of the party idea?
What would be a good date for you?
I tried to pick dates when most of us would be off school, but maybe not celebrating. =P
Would any of these days definitely NOT work? I don't know if we can make this work for everyone, but I want it to for as many people as possible.
We should try to keep at least two people on the entire time, from noon to midnight. Do you think we could pull it off?
Any ideas for things to do, other than spam wars (cough, waterspray/lionblaze) and roleplay?
Thoughts on contests we could have? I have trouble thinking of good ones, myself, particularly when I'm not sure of any prizes.
Speaking of which, anyone have graphics, etc they wouldn't normally make, cool stuff they'd be willing to do for contest winners?
Possibly I could get a holiday-themed skin up. Depends if there's time and how busy I am.
(If no one minds telling -- what holidays do you celebrate? I don't just want to do Xmassy if we have people who don't celebrate it. C=)
Any other thoughts, comments, questions, suggestions?

I have no idea what's gunna work for me for a day. I need to get to my dad's between now and January, and I WANT to got 23rd-24th but the weather may not allow that. So pretty much we're going whenever there's a 2 to 3 day span of good weather. While I'm there, I have little to no computer time. I suppose I could make icons/signatures and whatever even though mine kinda suck  |

i have... earthly no idea when would be a good day. xD
i'll just see, whatever plans come up, if my family even makes any.
as for contests, perhaps a little taste of the competition role-playing?
oh yeah, we could also have some art/ short literature contests.
also, i could open a graphic shop as a kick off start, and try to make the most that day, while i'll pretty much be brain-dead or too busy the other days. xD
i wouldn't mind pitching in with the skin, just to let you know; i could make some graphics, like the logo and those small pictures on the sides.

Roleplay competition, Snowzie? Sounds cool, but how would you work it?
Yeah, graphics would make good prizes -- anyone who wants to make, let me know and I'll add you to a list. =P
Snowzie, I will love you forever if you want to help with the skin. >-< I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it done in time, but if you can make the images it'd be wayyyy less for me to do. Could you make a logo, buttons, and a background image if you can? Whatever style -- either red and green or wintry -- I usually base the skin off the logo rather than the other way around, but if you want I can come up with a color scheme first.
(Btw, I'm editing the original post as ideas come in. =P)

role-play contest, well. we'll have judges, and there is a scene. the contestants post in the scene, interacting with each other. the judges write down their favorite posts, and after the scene is ended, preferably after each person posts at least six times, the judges will add up the points they give for each post and user.
certainly, i could make a logo, and perhaps some little pictures, too. any pictures you want featured?

Roleplay contest sounds good.
Who wants to be in charge of these things? I'll be a judge for any (if you want judges) or we can do a popular vote. Judges shouldn't join the contest/people joining a contest shouldn't vote. If no one wants to take charge of one of the contest ideas, I'll do it.
